About the work

The injunction is familiar: keep moving, keep up, don’t fall behind. Yet the figure seems to have stepped outside that rhythm, if only for a moment. Bent forward, withdrawn into himself, he occupies a space between exhaustion and refusal. Perhaps falling behind is not always a failure. Perhaps it can also be a choice.
